This notice explains the cookies, optional external fonts, and caching used by the Sheriff & Co. website. You can browse the site without allowing optional fonts.
Essential consent cookie
- Name and provider
sheriff_consent, set by this website.- Purpose and contents
- Remembers whether you allow optional external fonts. It contains the preference, notice version, and the times the choice was made and expires. It contains no visitor identifier and is not used for analytics or advertising.
- Duration
- Up to 180 days from your latest explicit choice, unless you clear it sooner. An expired or outdated choice prompts you again.
This cookie is saved only when you accept, reject, or save preferences. If your browser blocks cookies, your choice applies to the current page but cannot be remembered across visits. The cookie is sent with requests to this website; we do not create a separate server-side consent record.
Optional Google Fonts
If you opt in, we request the Inter and Playfair Display fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives your IP address and request information, and your browser may cache the downloaded files. Google states that its Fonts API does not set or log cookies. Fonts remain blocked until you opt in; otherwise the site uses fonts available on your device.

Browser and delivery caching
Netlify serves this static website. Image responses allow browser caching for up to one year; HTML responses require revalidation. This ordinary delivery caching is separate from the optional-font setting and is not used by this site's code for tracking. We do not use a service worker or application Cache API.
The preference controls cannot erase files already cached by your browser or reverse requests already sent to Google. Use your browser's privacy settings to clear cached files and cookies.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings in any page footer to review or withdraw permission. Disabling optional fonts removes their stylesheet and prevents new font loads initiated by this site's consent code. It does not undo previous requests or downloads. Closing preferences or continuing to browse does not grant permission.
The site's page code does not currently include analytics or advertising trackers. Any future optional services need to be assessed and gated before use, with this notice and the consent version updated.
